Bill started his working live in Post and Telecommunications.

Shortly after his marriage to Norma he commenced his apprenticeship at an Aircraft engineer, working with Skywork and Air Rhodesia.

After moving to the UK in 1980, Bill became a Chief Engineer at Shoreham Airport, specialising in light aircraft and helicopters.

In 1988 he moved to large commercial aircraft at British Airways where he remained until his retirement.

After retirement he joined the Advanced Institute of Motoring where he advanced to the level of a voluntary National Observer. This was a true passion for him. During this time, he made friends with like-minded people united by their dedication to help others.
